Kansas State University Research and Extension Southwest Area Office is home to the Agricultural Experiment Station with faculty enganged in agricultural research. The Area Office also houses Extension specialists who combine research from campus and from the field to address agricultural, economic, community, and youth development issues. The research is taken into communities through County Extension Agents. Extension specialists in Southwest Area office work with county Extension agents in 26 counties.
